Boho Vibe

Whenever I hear "boho", Miley Cyrus (before she chopped her hair) would always come up first in my mind. She has always been my fashion icon especially since I'm a fan of laid-back looks (in which she was rockin' by the way). When I got my floral kimono from Fabulousa CDO's shop, it reminded me a photo of Miley Cyrus.

I actually wanted to do a Style Steal (which I'll be starting soon enough) but because I couldn't find my old bell bottom jeans, I dropped that thought. But due to such inspiration, I thought of reinventing the look to my usual style.

Easygoing

Now that the holidays are over, I'm trying to transition myself gradually to prevent holiday hangover. Because I didn't want to procrastinate, I went ahead and do some requirements due on the 2nd week of January. I was able to finish most of the stuff on my list, I gave myself one last day of fun and relaxation as a reward.

Since I'm a self-proclaimed "Laid-back Queen", I wanted to wear something casual and comfy. Once again, I took out my fashion staple, button-down. This denim button-down is surprisingly very loose which I happen to like a lot.
I just finished watching Shingkeki no Kyoujin (Attack on Titan). So, yeah. I got myself Eren Jaeger's key necklace. FYI, yes, I like watching anime! Teehee.
Wearing my bensimon sneakers really makes me wanna sing "Pumped up kicks" for some reason. I love this pair of sneakers so much because it's really light! I've been using it since morning and I really felt as if I'm not wearing shoes on! It's definitely worth the price!

Hello, 2014

Another year, another set of adventures to face. I don't know about you guys but I'm so excited for 2014! I'm expecting a lot of things to happen, dreams to come true, goals to achieve, and moments to cherish this year. It may not seem like it but I love new years, it's the perfect time to start anew.

I would like to share to you guys my top 2 new year's resolution:
1. Face my fears head-on. It may not seem like it but I do have tons of fears which I conceal from my family and friends because I want to face it on my own but the thing is, I tend to procrastinate solving those problems. I intentionally delay acknowledging problems after problems after problems. It is because I fear that even if I try to resolve those things, I would fail. I'm a very prideful person and failure is one of my enemies. During 2013, I realized that even if I couldn't give the best solution to every problem that I have, at least I faced it head-on, and I guess that's what matters the most.
2. Express what I feel more with my words. Because I'm an introvert type of person, I tend to seclude myself and my problems from other people. Sometimes, whenever I have concerns, I keep it to myself and assume that the people whom I'm concerned of knows it. One of my marketing instructors (and probably the BEST) said that in order for other people understand, what we really want and how we feel, we need to communicate with them well. We cannot always assume that people would understand what we're trying to say/show them. For them to fully understand the situation, we have to carefully explain it to them.

I actually have a long list of things I would want to change for me to be a better person but it would take me forever to do so. Anyway, what's your top 2 new year's resolution? I'd really love to know!
Moving on to the outfit. The past few months, I've been really obsessed with button-down shirts. My closet is being dominated by it. I actually am supposed to blog about another outfit post, where I am also wearing a button-down shirt, but I had to retake the photos. Anyway, button-down shirts are fashion staples. They can be easily worn with a pair of pants, skirts, basically anything!
To match the holiday season, I wore a pair burgundy pants to give it a bit of color.
I received this uber edgy clutch from my friends at SprucePH. It's an Alexander McQueen inspired clutch which I've been dying to have!
Here's a photo of the clutch's handle details.

Belated Merry Christmas everyone! For starters, I was supposed to post this yesterday, in time for the Christmas day, but because my head started to ache (stupid migraine), I slept early and didn't continue blogging. How was your Christmas day? Hope it wen't fine because mine did. Although it wasn't the Christmas day I've been expecting, at least I was able to take a breather amidst the hectic schedule. Well, Christmas is all about that. Getting together with the family, exchanging gifts and laughter, making memories; I couldn't ask for a better way to spend the Holiday.

We did nothing fancy during Christmas day; we all gathered for Noche Buena, exchanged gifts, went to see a movie the morning after; basically the usual and normal Christmas day celebration. The fun starts next year! So stay tuned as I will be blogging about it!

So, let me blab a thing or two about what Christmas day really is for me. It'd be a cliche if I were to say that we should be reminded of Jesus rather than Santa because Christmas day is Jesus' birthday. Yes, it's true, but if we only focus on that fact alone, it'll just degrade the true essence of Christmas.

For me, Christmas is a time of gathering. Isn't it amazing how throughout the entire year, we preoccupy ourselves with tons of work and at the least, for a day, we can all gather and share happy moments with our family and relatives? Christmas enables the family to catch up with things, to be able to reconnect with the whole family. Second, Christmas is a time of giving. Human as we are, it's so difficult to give more than want to receive more. I mean, who wouldn't, right? We can never top what Christ offered at the cross in order to save us because we're not like Him; divine, holy, and perfect. That actually is the challenge, in our own ways, how can we offer up something just to make others feel saved? It may not be as grand as donating a big amount of money to the marginalized, have you tried sharing your meals to the poor? Either way, you could be a hero in your own ways.

Moving on to the outfit. For this look, I went with a very comfy ensemble (as usual). Since it's a bit more chilly from where I live, I chose to wear a cream knitted top and paired it with a floral skort just to give my look a pop of color. I finished my look with my floral union jack bag and plain oxfords.

Better Off Separated: part 2

This is the 2nd part of my previous "Better off separated" post. I would've uploaded it sooner but because I have tons of school work to do, my blogging time was almost impossible. Anyway, for this look, I incorporated the color blue again with my floral blazer and added a little bit of glitter to spice it up!

On my previous post, I wore something casual with my floral shorts and thought I would do an "alter-ego" kind of look with the floral blazer. I don't usually wear something dressy mainly because my wardrobe is full off laid-back pieces, but then, I dared myself and wear a smart casual attire. And this is what I came up with.
I planned on pairing my blazer with a brighter color but because I perceive my blazer in the shade of blue (the blazer is dominated with more blue-hued colors), I took my royal blue bandage dress from F21 and wore my glitter wedges from Primadonna.

For my next post, I will be sharing to you guys 2 interesting stuff! Bensimon sneakers has finally landed onto the CDO market and it's making its way to provide comfort and style to everyone! For my other post, I'll be sharing how to customize a plain school backpack in just a matter of minutes!

Better Off Separated: part 1

While I was cleaning my closet, I found my floral blazer and shorts pair hung far off of my closet rack. I haven't been using the floral duo for a while because I think I might vomit flowers at anytime. As a resolution, I used the blazer and shorts separately and came up with 2 outfits, hence the title.

For this look, I went all casual. Floral patterns give a very summery/spring vibe and in lieu of that, I paired my floral shorts with a turquoise sleeveless blouse.
Check back on Sunday to see the second part of this post!

Hell Week

The title says it all. I know I should be studying right now but because I'm feeling a bit confident for tomorrow's exam, I thought it'd be nice to update my blog amidst the hectic week.

For this look, I gave in to comfort dressing again! Lazy, lazy, lazy. Wearing sneakers with a crop top and blue jeans ain't really my style but it's nice to spice things up a bit and try something different once in a while. I got inspired by Bethany Mota's examination day outfit so I tried dressing down the way dressing down should be done. (By the way, BETHANY IS LOVE! I'm loving that crazy, awesome, pretty, and humble girl! I watch her videos everyday!)
Since this is just an update, I'll be ending here guys! For my schoolmates, hope you guys study hard! Good luck to you all!

That's a wrap, July!

I'm still alive! It's been more than a month since my last update and I'm not sure how to start off with this new post. I couldn't blog about everything that has happened over the month since it'll take me more than a week to finish blogging. Instead of blogging about every single event, I decided to make a short video clip which highlights random stuff and events which I attended. Oh yeah, I just turned 20 last July 7! Cheers for one more year!

So, this is what I wore for the event. I went for a very plain and casual look then decided to spice it up by pairing it my cheetah print bag and shoes. I actually am in love with my sheer top from Spoiled Bratte because of the NEUTRAL COLOR (my bias) and stud details on the pocket.

For my next post, let me guys give you a teaser!
I couldn't and wouldn't promise a specific date to publish this but for sure, I will post as soon as I could. Next week is hell mode for me and my fellow XU Ateneans, wish me luck and pray for me? :)

Ending Summer

It's so hard to admit that summer is ending where I live in. I know, I haven't done anything much and I know how much of a waste it is. Nevertheless, I was able to rest and be totally irresponsible for 2 months. A week from now, a new semester will start and well, it's about time I get a grip of myself especially it's my last year as an Atenean :)

For this look, I wore something which I'm not particularly used to, PASTEL YELLOW. I don't know why but pastel colors are rarely seen in my closet, maybe next time I'll try to fill my closet with pastel goodies but for now, this mullet top from Mode District (Totes Magnifique).

And yes, I know you guys have seen this floral skirt already but you can't blame me. A black floral skirt is a must-have since it'll go with pretty much everything.
The same reason goes for using this oxford from Gibi Collections.

So, yeah. I took my sister out to take my photos for me because my wireless camera remote ran out of battery juice.
