2013, Thank you!

2013 went by so fast, it's hard to believe that it's about to end. A lot of good things happened to me this year and as much as I would want to hold on to 2013 a bit longer, I have to face the new year hoping that it'll be as awesome or even better than this year. I have so many things to be grateful of; countless of blessings showered upon me, overflowing me with happiness despite some difficulties I had to face. Everything was unexpected, but I know it was planned already by God.

Perhaps, to some people, 2013 is one of the worst years they've had especially since Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda engraved sadness to Philippines. We actually have the option to mourn for days and blame leaders for not having direct response to the situation, but we could always think positively. Through typhoon yolanda, we now know how to appreciate little things, we saw how people from in and outside the country value each other by giving donations or doing campaigns to raise funds for yolanda victims, etc. If Yolanda didn't bother you as much as the victims, maybe personal problems gave you a hard time to appreciate this year; instead of forming friendships somehow it turned out the other way, maybe all the things you've expected never happened, your bucketlist for 2013 is left unchecked, or for any reason it might be, cheer up! Maybe everything is designed to happen on 2014.

Few hours from now, 2013 will be leaving to make way for 2014. Let's rock this new year! Do not let disappointments from the latter year drag you down. It's the perfect time to make a fresh start!

Belated Merry Christmas everyone! For starters, I was supposed to post this yesterday, in time for the Christmas day, but because my head started to ache (stupid migraine), I slept early and didn't continue blogging. How was your Christmas day? Hope it wen't fine because mine did. Although it wasn't the Christmas day I've been expecting, at least I was able to take a breather amidst the hectic schedule. Well, Christmas is all about that. Getting together with the family, exchanging gifts and laughter, making memories; I couldn't ask for a better way to spend the Holiday.

We did nothing fancy during Christmas day; we all gathered for Noche Buena, exchanged gifts, went to see a movie the morning after; basically the usual and normal Christmas day celebration. The fun starts next year! So stay tuned as I will be blogging about it!

So, let me blab a thing or two about what Christmas day really is for me. It'd be a cliche if I were to say that we should be reminded of Jesus rather than Santa because Christmas day is Jesus' birthday. Yes, it's true, but if we only focus on that fact alone, it'll just degrade the true essence of Christmas.

For me, Christmas is a time of gathering. Isn't it amazing how throughout the entire year, we preoccupy ourselves with tons of work and at the least, for a day, we can all gather and share happy moments with our family and relatives? Christmas enables the family to catch up with things, to be able to reconnect with the whole family. Second, Christmas is a time of giving. Human as we are, it's so difficult to give more than want to receive more. I mean, who wouldn't, right? We can never top what Christ offered at the cross in order to save us because we're not like Him; divine, holy, and perfect. That actually is the challenge, in our own ways, how can we offer up something just to make others feel saved? It may not be as grand as donating a big amount of money to the marginalized, have you tried sharing your meals to the poor? Either way, you could be a hero in your own ways.

Moving on to the outfit. For this look, I went with a very comfy ensemble (as usual). Since it's a bit more chilly from where I live, I chose to wear a cream knitted top and paired it with a floral skort just to give my look a pop of color. I finished my look with my floral union jack bag and plain oxfords.

Perfectly imperfect! Bensimon CDO

BENSIMON IS FINALLY HERE! Comfort and style merged in one pair! Could things get any better? SprucePH, being the first to introduce Bensimon in CDO, is now offering these beauties! Last November 29, 2013, Lai Serrano invited me to an afternoon with other bloggers and photographers as we set our eyes on these bad boys.

Bensimon sneakers are all about style and comfort, it's also packed with interesting facts! No two bennies (as what we'd like to call the sneakers) are identical. Yes, you've heard it right (or read it right, whatever). Usually, we see clean edges on our sneakers thinking how sleek, clean and perfect it looks; Bensimon sets apart from the ordinary sneakers through its imperfection. You see the rubber edges on it? Those aren't factory defects, those are made on purpose. It was initially planned for the makers to clean the rubber edges, but since no one seemed to be bothered by it, they pursued with having it that way. Because of that, Bensimon is known for having a perfectly imperfect sneakers.
Oh, you can bring these pairs ANYWHERE since they can be folded. Carry those goodies inside your bag and wear it to school if you feel like it. Hassle free! Got those beauties dirty? Throw them in your washing machine, it's fine.

There are more interesting facts about these sneakers, you can also read its story on making it to the fashion industry by going to their website: Bensimon PH

Below is a photo collage of the bennies available in stores!
We were told to be in a "Parisian-inspired outfit" but since I had a class after the event, I had to excuse myself from the dress code. No #ootd for this post :(
Here's me with the other fab bunch. Local bloggers and photographers in Cagayan de Oro City.

This week, I'm deciding to finally get my own bennies, but since there were a lot of colors and styles to choose from, I really needed a time to think. Reminiscing MYOH? Anyway, I'm stuck between choosing yellow or red as of the moment, but then, there's teal, PURPLE, navy blue... I need to decided fast!
Well, I guess that's all for today! Get your own bennies NOW!

Better Off Separated: part 2

This is the 2nd part of my previous "Better off separated" post. I would've uploaded it sooner but because I have tons of school work to do, my blogging time was almost impossible. Anyway, for this look, I incorporated the color blue again with my floral blazer and added a little bit of glitter to spice it up!

On my previous post, I wore something casual with my floral shorts and thought I would do an "alter-ego" kind of look with the floral blazer. I don't usually wear something dressy mainly because my wardrobe is full off laid-back pieces, but then, I dared myself and wear a smart casual attire. And this is what I came up with.
I planned on pairing my blazer with a brighter color but because I perceive my blazer in the shade of blue (the blazer is dominated with more blue-hued colors), I took my royal blue bandage dress from F21 and wore my glitter wedges from Primadonna.

For my next post, I will be sharing to you guys 2 interesting stuff! Bensimon sneakers has finally landed onto the CDO market and it's making its way to provide comfort and style to everyone! For my other post, I'll be sharing how to customize a plain school backpack in just a matter of minutes!
