Hong Kong day 3: Playing Favorites

We actually stayed at HK for a week but we rested in between our schedule. This post actually happened on the 4th day but since it'll be awkward to skip a day in a series post, I renamed the title to the 3rd day.

Anyway, we were supposed to go to Macau during our stay but unfortunately, weather wasn't cooperating with us well. We had to cancel that Macau trip (I even wanted to buy tons of stuff there T_T) and decided to stay inside the hotel for the mean time. The next day, we went to 3 destinations: Central - Mong Kok - Kowloon. We only rode the MTR once and we walked our way to both Mong Kok and Kowloon.

Buildings in Central

Me and Dad. I got my looks from him, well, actually from my grandma.

This is the best mall fashion display I've ever seen so far. I can't help but be awed by the view of it. I can't wait for my 2 post-college course! This was displayed in IFC mall.

Goofing around a bit.

Oh yeah, we dropped by Harbour City! I love their Holiday themed display, do you as well?

We actually did a lot of stop overs but since the weather that time was around 12°C or lower, I wasn't able to take more photos for blogging. Why? I had to cuddle my sister to heat up my body a bit. I can barely move my hands and lips that time. I'm not really used to cold places but I do prefer it over hot places though.

Moving on to my outfit post. As I stated earlier in my previous post, I wasn't happy with my photos which I took in HK so I had to retake those photos a while ago. For this look, I picked out my favorite print and colors! Floral print + Black and Violet! (Insert super happy face here)

Well, I think that's it for my HK series post. I won't be updating my blog probably this week because of
midterms exam but I guess I can try? We'll see. Good luck to my fellow Ateneans who'll be taking their
first exam tomorrow!

Hong Kong Day 2: Disneyland + Outfit Post

During our second day at Hong Kong, my family and I scheduled a trip to the happiest place on earth: DISNEYLAND. Honestly, as mature as I can be, I can't resist releasing my childish behavior when it comes to Disneyland. You can't blame me for that one, who could ever do such thing if they know they'll be paying a visit to a wondrous and dazzling place? (Already thinking of singing A Whole New World)

We had to be eaten by a Mickey Mouse themed train in order to reach the resort. Not for long, we arrived at Disneyland. It was really early by the time we got there. We decided to be early birds because we wanted to have a photo in front of the entrance without a pool of people in the way. It's just too unfortunate for us to not have my brother that day since he got sick.

Side-by-side shops! My kind of mall strolling gig!

Since we came early, we had to fill our stomach with something. Would you like to share with me this Mickey Mouse Waffle? I'm sorry, I've digested it already about a week ago :)

Believe it or not, Pluto is my most favorite Disney character. Why? Well, it's interesting that he is the only animal who can't talk. I wonder what was on Walter's mind why he decided to mute Pluto and make him as another animal's pet when Goofy can freely talk and stand just like the rest of Mickey's gang.

Aurora's (Sleeping Beauty) Castle. This is the place where the fireworks display was held.

Toy Story land! My favorite place!

We went to Adventure land and went straight to Grizzly Gulch just to have my face on that wall! See, spell childish!

Here's a photo during the fireworks display. I wasn't able to get a better shot because of those people in front of me.

Moving on the the outfit post. I wanted to wear something casual and comfortable especially when I tend to get all hyped up with the rides I could enjoy. So, I wore a pair of shorts, simple top and a pair of rubber flats so I could run around without having to kill my legs and feet! Oh and for the beanie, well, to keep my hair in place. The wind kept blowing my hair all over my face so I put it on.

I initially wore a coat because it can get really cold in the morning. Like I said, we went there really early. I took it off in the afternoon since I can already bear the not-so-cold temperature.

For my next post, watch out for this!

Hong Kong Day 1: Highlights + Outfit Post

My first day in Hong Kong for 2012 would probably best described as FUN and TIRING at the same time. It was really fun because I got to stroll around the city in the hope of being able to buy some gifts for myself and, family and friends. Unfortunately, the fun part was just about 45% of the overall experience because walking from place to place for the whole day wasn't just my style. I mean, I walk and even run around our subdivision for cardio but wandering around this big city was different. Anyway, I did have a great time in Hong Kong this year!

We stayed at Tsuen Wan for 5 days, in L Hotel Nina et Convention Centre to be exact.

The 2 connected buildings on the left side is L hotel.

You can go directly to a mall called Citywalk located right just outside the hotel. Well actually, that mall is also connected to it. Outside and at the center of the mall, you can find their Christmas-themed decorations, well suited for the Holidays!

Noodles, noodles, noodles. I've been eating this for about a week. No, not everyday though.

I walked around the streets of Tsuen Wan and here's the market place.

When I came back to the hotel, I brought home these cute bags from New Town Mall, a mall located a bit far from the hotel. Yes, I can walk at least that much! These bags only cost $50.00 EACH. I'm currently using the rucksack bag for school. Perhaps, these two might be my greatest thrift buys for 2012.

For the first day in HK, I wore this super breezy attire. It wasn't that cold during that specific time so I was still able to wear sheer clothing. Basically, I wore something super comfortable because I had to walk around for hours. I don't know what'll happen to my feet and legs if I wore wedges... Although I find wedges comfortable to use, it is still preferable to wear flats if you want to enjoy strolling.

For my next post, let me give you all a preview. Isn't it too obvious already? :)
